For another glimpse into what life is like living the Great Lakes region, meet Jenny Evans – British ex-pat, 20 year local to Bluey’s Beach, lover of coffee and cakes and collector of quirky bits and pieces from across the globe.
People know me as… Jen
Most days you can find me… at home which also happens to be my workplace, Jenz@ Bluey’s Beach Coffee and Gift Shop! We’ve owned it for 15 years this year and its been a really lovely lifestyle living here at Bluey’s – we transformed the flat under our home into our café and gift shop when my son moved out and got married so he’s very happy to see his old bedroom thriving today!
The best part about living in the Great Lakes is… all the beaches and the wonderful people that come to visit our area who are very respectful of our home. It really is a magical place.
When I’m keen for a cuppa, I head… downstairs to make coffee here!
For a delicious feed, every time, I visit… any one of our beautiful local eateries. We are spoilt for choice out here at Bluey’s with Moby’s Restaurant, The Kingfisher Cafe, Italian at Huey’s at Bluey’s Pizzeria & Bar and even the Bowling Club. And the best bit is that they all do really great food.
To remind myself that the Great Lakes is a little slice of heaven, I go to… Seal Rocks, just to stand up the top on the headland and watch the whales come in, it’s so relaxing and magnificent.
