Over thirty stall holders gather for the Gresford Community Markets in the beautiful grounds of the homestead kindly opened each month as a community fundraiser by owners Belinda and Ellis Richards. And, of course, there's something for everyone: delicious local olives and olive oil, natural household, health and beauty products, sports memorabilia, scarecrows, locally grown plants and produce, a wide range of clothing, cake stalls, paintings, jewellery, art cards, bags, handicrafts, expertly crafted wooden goods and bric-a-brac. Of course, there's a barbecue and plenty of other food and refreshments available. Some market days also feature live auctions of household and farm goods. The market days are proving to be a friendly affair, a fun place to browse, enjoy morning tea and/or lunch and, above all, to experience the hum of a local market.

Krinklewood's biodynamic workshop introduces participants to practical aspects of biodynamic farming and gardening. Led by highly experienced biodynamic experts, Hamish Mackay and John Priestly, participants learn the philosophy, theory and 'how-to' of biodynamics. Rod Windrim's fully certified Krinklewood Vineyard has been operating biodynamically for 10 years and is the ideal venue for participants to experience all aspects of biodynamics. This is a hands-on informal workshop. Krinklewood's Annual Biodynamic Workshop is always held in the descending moon phase and after the autumnal equinox. At this time, participants are able to fill and bury the cow horns, get hands on with compost making and creating the cow-pat-pit. Krinklewood is a family run biodynamic vineyard and farm that perpetually strives to produce wines reflecting the unique characteristics of the Krinklewood terroir. The Slice of Haven Food and Wine Festival is held on the foreshore of the Camden Haven's pristine waterways and is a celebration of the best local produce in the region. There will be over 60 stallholders hailing from the hinterland to the coast, showcasing the best local produce and culinary creations. Sample the local trademarks such as oysters, wines, olives, cheeses and an abundance of fresh produce. Local producers and restaurants will be working together to ensure that everyone enjoys the festive experience and encourages you to taste the offerings that are available in this friendly gourmet region. The Blue Knob Farmers Market is held every Saturday from 9am to 1pm. The market is a genuine farmers market with 90 per cent of goods and produce grown or prepared within 20 kilometres of the market. Produce will change with the seasons. Some of the delectable foods you can expect to find include: fresh organic bread in wood fired ovens, raw organic honey, citrus and avocados, eggs, local cheeses, macadamias, local preserves and jams, a range of winter vegies, some bush food condiments and traditionally brewed soft drinks. Fresh local coffee, cakes and delicious meals are available at the Cafe and browse through the gallery at their ongoing exhibitions of art and craft works from talented local artisans.

Since inception in 1990 the Gemfest has become the largest gem, crystal, jewellery and fossil show in regional Australia. This is an all day event at the Lismore Showground. The event features wonderful hand-crafted jewellery, rare fossils and meteorites, stalls and displays undercover, free on-site parking, demonstrations of lapidary crafts, children's activities and food stalls.

As Casino Beef Week approaches its 30th anniversary it is one of the most widely known and popular regional festivals with an average of 20,000 crowding into town on the main Saturday. On this day the country comes to town, with a led steer and stud cattle competition in the main street followed by a live auction taking place around the town's central point the Mafeking Lamp Memorial. Streets are closed and filled with food stalls, entertainment, whip cracking, wood chopping, junior stockman/lady competitions, street entertainers, art and craft exhibitions and much more. The grand parade of colourful floats takes pride of place in the afternoon and the crowd disperses to the rodeo at the nearby showground or spills out of the pubs and clubs to enjoy live music and comradeship - an energetic, vibrant show of united community. The Lismore Car Boot Market is an all weather undercover market that is held under the Lismore Shopping Square every first and third Sunday of each month from 7:30am to 2pm. The market stalls feature a large variety of local arts and crafts, fresh produce, delicious food and coffee, books, clothing, plants, antiques, collectables and over 30 garage sales all under the one roof.
