Walk or ride as you soak up the laid back outdoor lifestyle.

For dinner

Between Kirra and Coolangatta, you’ll be spoiled for choice with every dining option imaginable – from gourmet burgers and wood fired pizzas, to pubs and clubs, Japanese restaurants, modern Australian dining, Thai, Mexican and more. Top it all off with a takeaway gelato, and stroll along the beach as the darkness finally settles on a magical Southern Gold Coast day.

DAY 2

The morning

Tugun Village has plenty of cafés where you can soak up the morning sun over poached eggs and a cappuccino (or two). After breakfast, head west for a drive out through the Currumbin Valley and up Tomewin Mountain to explore the peaceful hinterland ranges just 15 minutes from the coast.

For lunch

Pack a picnic basket in town and stretch out on the grassy banks beside the trickling Currumbin Rock Pools – right in the heart of the Currumbin Valley. Be sure to stop at the iconic yellow fruit truck on Tomewin Mountain to pick up some locally grown produce such as bananas, avocados, pawpaws, and organic vegetables.

The afternoon

Head back to Currumbin Beach for an afternoon walk. Crowned Australia’s Cleanest Beach in 2013, the stretch along the Creek from Currumbin RSL, past the local surf spot The Alley, and along the beachfront to Elephant Rock will have you working up an appetite. Finish off a perfect afternoon at the Currumbin Vikings Surf Club where the upstairs restaurant area sits out over the ocean – a great spot for a relaxing drink and a bite to eat.
