Discover the Tweed Coast, only 15 minutes from the Gold Coast International Airport. Spend the morning snorkelling with turtles at Cook Island, only 600m from the shore at Fingal Head. The island is a permanent home for green and loggerhead turtles, leopard Sharks, spotted eagle rays and wobbygongs.
After working up an appetite, head to the seaside village of Cabarita Beach (15km from Fingal) for traditional fish ‘n’ fhips. After lunch take a 400m stroll up Norries Headland – the jewel of the village. Relax on the bench seating to soak up the sunshine, scan the ocean for whales and watch some surfing.
In the afternoon explore the village of Kingscliff (10km from Cabarita Beach). Dotted between sidewalk cafés and restaurants are boutique stores and gift shops. After a spot of shopping spend the afternoon at Cudgen Creek where you can hire an array of watercraft to explore the crystal clear waterways or hire a fishing rod and try your luck at reeling in a big one.
Get ready for a divine dinner at Salt Village (2kms from Kingscliff). Choose from the multi award winning Fins Seafood Restaurant, Bellini Italian, Mahsuri Thai, Sea Salt Ristoranteor head to Season Restaurant for gourmet Australian Cuisine.
After dinner enjoy a delicious house-made gelato from Piccollo as you stroll along the boulevard to the Saltbar Beachbar and Bistro located on the absolute beachfront at Salt Village. Enjoy a nightcap at the Saltbar and unwind after a busy day.

Your first stop this morning is Tropical Fruit World, an eco-tourist destination (8km from Salt Village) where fruit growing is blended with a native reserve of rainforest trails, landscaped waterways and native animals. The farm grows over 500 different varieties of tropical and rare fruits.
Head into the heart of the Tweed Valley, Murwillumbah (17km from Tropical Fruit World) and visit the Tweed Regional Gallery. The Gallery is home to the Margaret Olley Art Centre and is a destination experience showcasing stunning artwork. Enjoy lunch at the Gallery Café which offers an array of fine food, coffee and delicious cakes as well as boasting spectacular views of the Tweed’s dramatic landscape.
Spend the afternoon in the riverside village of Tumbulgum (10km from Murwillumbah). Tumbulgum was one of the first villages established in northern NSW around 1840. It is here you enjoy an ale with the locals at the historic Tumbulgum Tavern as you watch a spectacular golden sunset over the Tweed River before making your way back to your hotel on the Tweed Coast (13kms) or head to the Gold Coast International Airport (20kms).
