Laid back Lennox Head is a leisurely and very scenic 10 minute drive North of Ballina. It is a Mecca among surfers and its famous right hand point break – Lennox Point – is one of the top ten surf breaks in Australia. Along the main street you’ll find boutiques, funky cafes, restaurants and just down the road, the tea-tree stained fresh waters of Lake Ainsworth. Lennox Head has a rich Aboriginal and European history, some of which can be explored in the Lennox Head Heritage Trail. To take a self guided tour of Lennox Head, pick up a brochure from the Ballina Visitor Information Centre.
